Nicole Z. 4 months agoI have moved a lot during my life so I have experienced many Drs offices. This was one of the worst. The person at the front desk was one of the most unwelcoming people I have ever met, and she was like that with every patient I saw her with. She constantly seemed like everyone was inconveniencing her. The PA was friendly and nice. The Dr I had my appointment with was nice too but it seemed like she was being chased, the way she rushed through the appointment. I came for a full skin check up and she didn’t even look at my whole body. I had to have something removed. She gave me no options at to what could be done, it was so fast while 3 people stared at that fairly intimate spot. I was never asked if I was ok with not just her but someone shadowing her and her male PA being in the room while I was only in my underwear. There were other things she barely looked at and just rushed through. Really disappointed after this appointment. When I asked the front desk for a list of pricing for the esthetician (cause I was told to ask), she said I can only schedule an appointment for $75 with her to discuss it. To get a list of pricing!? Can absolutely not recommend this place.
Neetu Rathee a month agoI was referred to Dr. Anjali Varma Morales by my PCP for eczema on my leg. I must say that I had worst medical experience ever. Dr. Morales was such in a hurry that she hardly spent 2 minutes with me. She looked at my affected skin, suggested me an ointment and wanted to leave. I had mentioned to her assistant about sunburn that i had experienced about 5 months ago. When she wanted to leave, I requested her to look at my sunburnt face and recommend a treatment. Her response was - oh you have sensitive skin, we cant do much. You need to use sunscreen when you go out, avoid sun exposure for longer periods. According to me, Sunburn that doesn’t go away in 5 months, needs some treatment. It wont go away on its own. So i insisted for some recommendation. Thats when she suggested a moisturizer. Again she wanted to leave right away. But i wanted to talk about recent pigmentations that i was experiencing. Her response was sorry we are too busy, we have too many patients. Pigmentation happens. You don’t need to worry about it. I would caal this kind of a behavior from a doctor highly insensitive and rude. She has no empathy at all. I do not recommend anybody to waste to your precious time visiting Dr. Morales.
Herbert Brandt 3 months ago6 years ago I went to a doctor for a bump on my nose. The DX was a deep vein under the skin, no biopsy. 6 years later I went to Schweitzer Dermatology, appointment with Dr. Albridge, she walked into the room and immediately said I have basal cell ca. but needed to biopsy it to be sure of her DX and Mohs surgery was recommended. Three weeks later I had Mohs surgery with Dr Arzeno MD. She was absolutely wonderful. The surgery was quick and painless. Now, one week after surgery, my nose is on its way to recovery and looks good. This institute is well run and the doctors, nurses and support staff are all professionals that get results and make you feel welcome. I’d recommend this organization to all my friends and family to alleviate what I went through 6 years ago.
Lena Scaramuzzo a month agoExtremely Poor Continuity of Care and Administrative Failure I am writing this review to share my deeply frustrating experience with Schweiger Dermatology. While I was initially impressed by how quickly I was able to secure a next-day appointment, the actual care and administration that followed were entirely unacceptable. 1. Lack of Specialist Care Despite paying a $95 specialist copay for every single visit, I never once saw a physician. My care was handled entirely by a Physician’s Assistant (PA). At no point was a doctor brought in to consult on my case, nor was I ever told a doctor was reviewing my file. 2. Dismissal of Medical History & Concerns During my appointments, my concerns regarding potential inflammatory issues and a relevant family history were completely ignored. When I asked if my condition could be tied to the aging process, the provider simply asked if I had seen my Primary Care Physician. My PCP was the exact person who recognized this as a specialist issue and referred me to dermatology in the first place. 3. Total Failure in Communication and Follow-Up A biopsy was performed, but the office completely failed to contact me with the results. I received zero phone calls and zero emails. When I returned to the office specifically to have my stitches removed, the staff asked me if anyone had called me with my results yet—demonstrating that their internal tracking is entirely disorganized. 4. Financial Inconsistencies and Contradictory Medical Advice When I expressed frustration about the lack of communication regarding my biopsy and requested to speak with a doctor, the staff member left the room. Upon returning, I was told that to speak with a Physician’s Assistant about my results, I would have to pay *another* $95 copay. Furthermore, when I asked what the recommended treatment plan was to resolve my issue, I was told to "keep using the medications they had prescribed." This was impossible, as they had never prescribed me any medication. When I pointed out that I had already tried three different prescription creams with no success, they had no answer. A patient should not have to pay specialist prices to never see a doctor, have their medical history ignored, receive zero follow-up on an invasive biopsy, and be told to continue taking prescriptions that were never actually written. This has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a medical office. I cannot recommend this practice.
Prateek Jain 6 months agoI visited California Skin Institute in October 2023 for a routine issue. Nearly two years later, in October 2025, I suddenly received a bill for $30, which arrived only after the company was acquired. When I contacted their billing department, I was told the delay was because my insurance supposedly took two years to process the claim, which I find very hard to believe. When I asked for documentation or any record of correspondence with the insurance company, I was told that it was not their responsibility to provide that information and that I would need to contact my insurance on my own. This puts patients in a frustrating position, especially when the bill shows up years later with little explanation. If you go in for a routine visit, be aware that you may not get much follow-up care, but you might get a bill years down the line. It also felt uncomfortable that their payment system repeatedly pushes bank account payments, along with an audio message discouraging credit card use by implying it won’t help with medical debt issues. The overall experience felt more focused on collections than patient care. I would strongly recommend asking detailed billing questions upfront and keeping thorough records if you choose to visit.
