I had my first appointment at Direct Derm today, and I have to say that I was very impressed with the professionalism of the Direct Derm staff and the quality of my treatment and care they provided. The staff was absolutely amazing, kind, and personable. They also provided free products at no cost for me to try along with making sure I was provided aftercare items. I would highly recommend their services.

Easy to book and update appointment. Parking was plentiful. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Doctor was professional and friendly. Will come back from all skin needs!

I will report this to California Department of Public Health. I would like to express my extreme dissatisfaction and frustration with the patient service at this facility. The behavior of the reception staff is highly unprofessional and completely unacceptable. Instead of focusing on their duties and assisting patients, the employees spend their working hours doing each other’s hair and styling themselves at the front desk. This shows a complete lack of respect for patients. Additionally, the staff repeatedly provide incorrect information, especially regarding the timing of medical tests. They are unable to locate test results sent from other medical facilities, and even worse, they lie by claiming they can see the results just to get rid of the patient quickly. When I asked for details, they suddenly changed their statements and said the results were not available, promising to call me back within a few days—which, of course, never happens. This week, there were further unacceptable situations. I had an appointment and no one informed me in advance that the nurse would not be available that day. When I arrived, I found out that four staff members were busy doing their hair at the reception desk, completely ignoring the fact that patients lose time, money on fuel, and have to take time off work. The very next day, the situation repeated itself. Another appointment, and again no prior notice that the nurse was unable to perform the procedure due to missing equipment. They told me they have to order this and they don’t know when that will arrive. I understand this but they could call me to inform me before my appointment. Once again, I lost time, money, and had to take another day off work—while the staff showed no concern whatsoever. The customer service is also extremely rude and dismissive when asked questions. When I asked for the manager’s name and office hours, I was questioned as to why I was “asking so many questions.” The situation escalated further when, an hour later, I received a call from the manager—even though I did not request any contact. After I stated that I would escalate the matter to a higher-level manager, I received another call from her colleague, who began yelling at me without even understanding the situation. She was dishonest, misrepresented facts, did not allow me to speak, and afterward my profile was blocked, preventing me from contacting anyone impartial within the company. The behavior of the entire team, including both managers, is extremely unprofessional than the conduct expected in a medical facility. The only positive aspect of my experience were the doctors I met together with my daughter—they were kind and helpful. Unfortunately, the level of administrative service completely undermines trust in this facility.

I’ve had several appointments at this location and provider, always pleasant. Staff is professional and courteous; never a problem being seen by appointment time. Thank you Direct Derm for always making my experience very pleasant!
