This was the absolute worst doctor appointment process I've ever experienced. After arriving early prior to my scheduled appointment, so I could fill out any required new patient paperwork. I was informed that I should have filled-out the registration form they emailed to me prior to coming in. I stated that I had just made the appointment a few days ago and since then I misplaced my phone, so I wasn't able to fill out the online form. I was told they could see I had clicked on the email 22 minutes ago and that I needed to fill that out online. I told the receptionist I had checked the email on my house computer to get the address so I wouldn't be late. I asked, why was any of this relevant? Because I'm here now, early and there is plenty of time to fill out whatever paperwork is necessary prior to my 8am appointment. There was no one else waiting in the office. So before asking to see my blue cross/blue shield insurance card or any form of ID, they wanted to have my credit card so they could permanently put that information in their data files. When I pointed out the irregularity of this and protested, I was told it was the only way to be able to see the doctor. Something seemed shady about all of this, so I told them to have a great day and I left. I've never experienced anything like this before in the medical profession, is this a common practice now?

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional care and expertise that Dr. Mavis has provided over the past two years. From my very first visit, she has demonstrated impressive knowledge and compassion. I am incredibly greatful to have such a skilled and caring dermatologist. Thank you, Dr. Mavis!

I have been coming to the city of Angeles dermatology for a while now, and I have to say that the comfort I feel in this doctor’s office is unmatched. I never feel weird opening up with anything regarding my skin and I am always met with such positivity. The doctor, Mavis Bellips and the assistants especially Michelle have been so helpful and kind. I love this dermatology office and recommend you give it a try for if you are in need of a dermatologist. Anyone who has sensitive skin knows that it is scary to find good products, this place has great samples and the doctor will work with you to find a product that is best for you! My skin feels good and looks amazing.

My recent experience at City of Angels Dermatology was, without a doubt, one of the most frustrating and unprofessional encounters I've ever had with a medical facility. I initially chose this clinic because my insurance referred me to them. They confirmed that they accept my insurance plan with both, my insurance rep and with myself when I called to make the appointment, so I went ahead and made an appointment to go see Dr. Mavis W Billips. On the day of my appointment I showed up at 8:30am. They claimed not to have received the referral, which added a three-hour wait to my morning. I waited there for those 3 hours and by lunchtime, Dr. Mavis emerged and informed me that we needed to reschedule because it was her lunch break. I declined, only to be informed abruptly that they no longer accepted my insurance. This level of inconsistency and mismanagement is entirely unacceptable. My entire morning was wasted, and I was met with rudeness and disrespect from both Dr. Mavis and the the practice manager MR. Martin Glenn Billips, who literally told me "you're not worth my time". It's evident that patient care and professionalism are not a priority here. My insurance has already filed a grievance and I only hope no one else has to go through this. I strongly advise avoiding Dr. Mavis and Dr. Martin at all costs. Your time and sanity are worth more than this.

Every time I leave Dr. Billups Office, I feel respected and valued. Dr. Billups always takes time to understand my concerns and all treatments she has prescribed have worked perfectly. I am extremely grateful for her and her staff!
