Just got the exorbitant bill from my June visit which reminded me to leave a review. Prior to my appointment, I had seen some negative reviews from my insurance's carefinder site but was recommended to seek an appointment with Dr. Skulason by another medical professional. He was a few minutes late to the appointment, which was not a big deal, but it was a brief appointment that accomplished nothing. I went seeking treatment for a finger wart I've had for the last 3 years. I brought notes detailing the exact dates of past care and copied verbiage verbatim from my medical chart that outlined the history of treatments I've received for it, ranging from multiple doctors & locations. He briefly looked at my finger as I described the cryotherapy treatments & invasive scalpel procedures I've had done and COMPLETELY dismissed me. I felt like he was gaslighting me and I left his office so confused. He literally kept telling me that I hadn't had the treatments I'd said I did, because "they're very painful and I would have remembered it." He was kind about it, I guess, but it almost came off as sexist, like he couldn't believe I'd gone through such extensive, painful treatments and had a decent pain tolerance? Regardless, nothing was accomplished and he told me to just use duct tape & OTC compound W, which I told him I'd tried and that it didn't work. I felt completely dismissed and the appointment was honestly such a waste of time and money for all involved. I've given multiple areas of this hospital too many chances so this is the final time I go there for anything.

My Doc is a Superstar. I know what needs to make me healthier, and he didn't give me a speech. That fact he knows, I know, and was very easy on me... Will make mel try harder to do the right thing. One of the best Dr I have ever had! He is a super cool guy!

He showed up early to our appointment, but seemed in a rush to leave. He was able to explain things to me, but I also believe there was a disconnect from the general practitioner who referred me to him, and what Dr Skulason was there for. Felt frustrated and emotionally exhausted from the visit, but left with some good knowledge.

He worked with me for a couple years on my skin concerns and did everything he could to help me feel more comfortable with my acne before it got better. He’s hard to warm up to because he walks in, looks at your skin, & has the ability to determine his plan of action right there, and that comes off as rude to some people as he does not always listen to their “concerns”. In the end, he knows what he’s doing & I trust his decisions! He got me through some tough times, God bless him.

Normally I like a fast appointment, I was scheduled for 11am (showed up about 10:50) and was out of the office by 11:04. Both the nurse who took me back and the doctor were short and clearly frustrated. I get if you are having a bad day, but I still deserve time to express my concerns and feel as though they had all been addressed. It took longer for me to fill out the new patient form (one sided) than It took for the doctor to sit down with me.
