The office was nice as was the doctor I saw twice. All I can say is watch out for the billing. They made me pay $50. when I made the appointment because I was a new patient. They said it is their insurance in case I didn't show up!. I paid them and I had met my deductible for Medicate and have supplememt insurance but they never returned my money or provided me with a billing statement. On the second visit they said I still owed money due to a new year deductible ( which my supplement pays) but I gave them what they asked for and again was not provided with a bill. Upon examining my EOB from Medicare and supplement I realized I was billed over $400 for two short office visits! I called billing and was told "oh yes, we do owe you money and will process it today". It is over $100 to be refunded. If I hadn't called I never would have received my reimbursement (it's been 3 months since my last visit.). Just keep track!

I prefer seeing a dermatologist for my skincare needs and anti aging treatments. I always feel valued, seen & heard plus peace of mind of a medical professional. I never feel icky being asked how much I will tip my “service provider” like at other facilities. It’s nice seeing real working people in the office of Midtown Dermatology vs walking in to a spa with a bunch of bouncy giggly 20 year olds advising me on aging. 10/10 or 5 Stars.

My insurance changed this year so I had to leave my old dermatology office, whom I’ve had for years, and seek a new provider. Today I saw Dr. Michelle Walters as a new patient. Upon first meeting her, her first words to were that I would have to come back to see her to discuss everything I wanted to talk about… which was basic dermatology questions. I was probably her easiest patient of the day to be honest. She had poor bedside manner, very short, and just seemed in a rush to get out the door. Typically consult appointments with a specialist are 30 minutes. I think she maybe spent a total of 8 minutes in the room? I work in an office with specialist… we would never dismiss our patient questions/ concerns and we would address all of them in one visit (or try to at least) instead of telling them to come back again (which to get an appt, it takes months). She seemed very put out by my questions. She will probably be too busy for you, too. Choose your healthcare providers wisely and carefully.

After visiting multiple dermatologists who dismissed my concerns, Dr. Bab was the first provider who actually listened to my full history and gave me the treatment I specifically requested. That meant a great deal. My only issue has been post-appointment communication. Despite in-person desk visit before i left after my appointment, and few voicemails; getting a callback for a follow-up protocol question has been difficult. Got one yesterday, but I missed it during business afterhours and when I called back; I couldn't get a hold of anyone . A patient messaging system to the dermatologist who helped you would make a real difference for active treatment questions. Quality of care in the room was excellent — the follow-up accessibility needs work. Would recommend Dr. Bab for being thorough and genuinely receptive to patient-led treatment conversations.

Customer Service - 3 stars Level of Care - 5 stars I have often wait for long periods to be called back or for the doctor to make it to my room. If patients are required to arrive on time or early, wait times should be reasonable. They clearly overbook their providers, patients are expected to wait, and the staff sees this as normal.
