Dr Chen is a pure professional. No long waits, thorough exams, doesn’t suggest any unnecessary procedures. He is quiet and direct but you feel like you can trust him. And his office staff are very welcoming and efficient. Great experience!

Switched over to Forefront for convenience, but I can't be more glad I did. Got me in fast for my first visit. Friendly honest and great vibe. Took care of my questions and skin concerns - and I was on my way home.

When I called to schedule my appointment, I somehow got to the central scheduling line so I tell the person my issues (skin check and face being more red after having kids) and he sets me up with appointment 5 weeks out. I check in today and the nurse says doctor can only address 1 issue and I would have to come back for the other issue. There was no communication from either the central scheduling person nor from the multiple reminder texts and phone call regarding this policy. Very frustrating as I had to take 4 hours PTO from work and was really looking forward to finally finding a solution why my face is progressing towards tomato status. Voiced my disappointment with Dr Chen and he said he would remind central scheduling again. The nurse on the way out mentioned that this happens to others and that his PA could *maybe* address multiple issues per visit.

I had such a great experience on my first visit with Dr.Chen. I love that the check in process was smooth due to the paperwork being done prior to my visit. The ladies at the front desk made me feel so welcome and I appreciated that because t was feeling very miserable! Everyone definitely made me feel there was a light at the end of the tunnel ! Exceptional work Forefront Dermentology!

My experience here felt rushed and transactional. At my first appointment I was told visits are limited to 15 minutes and that I needed to prioritize what I wanted to discuss. That immediately made the appointment feel like a race against the clock. The visit itself was fine and I got what I needed at the time, but the structure of the appointment felt very limited. Later I contacted the office requesting a prescription for tretinoin, which I’ve used for years for preventative anti-aging. This was not for a skin condition that required examination, and previous dermatologists have prescribed it without requiring another visit. The office repeatedly responded that it was “not policy” and that I would need to schedule another appointment so they could “properly document treatment.” That would mean coming back in for another short visit and being billed again for something that had already been explained through messaging. The process felt more focused on billing than patient care. Because of this experience, they lost a patient.
