I found the entire staff extremely professional, friendly and were genuinely interested in me as a person. The Doctor impressed me with how she was able to communicate the information I needed to know in a concise, organized and logical manner. She was receptive to how I would prefer to approach my treatment while offering recommendations if the original course of action was not effective. First rate organization on every level.

I was referred to Optima by my PCP and chose to go to their relatively new office in Independence and fortunately got a same day appointment. I had completed virtually all the new patient paperwork prior to the appointment, so I just had to sign a couple of things once I got there. I actually went into the exam room maybe a couple minutes before my appointed time and was walking out in about 20mins. I only had a single area of concern on my scalp and Alyssa took care of that and a couple more she noticed out of an abundance of caution. Alyssa and assistant Michelle were very friendly, professional, showed concern and were efficient in their efforts. I am very pleased with my experience, and would recommend Optima to others. Update 12/11/25: I returned for a follow-up to insure initial issues had healed properly. And Alyssa took care of a couple of skin tags I had forgot to mention on my first visit. She also advised me that I should consider a couple of more involved treatments for the sun damage to my scalp. She took her time explaining the procedures to my understanding and answered a couple of questions I had. Again, everyone I encountered at Optima was kind, courteous, and professional. My previous recommendation to anyone still stands!

The staff was friendly and professional. Lorrie, the receptionist, greeted me with a smile and a cheerful hello. It wasn’t long after I checked in that I was called and escorted to the exam room. This was a follow up exam, so this was my second interaction with the staff and Dr. Delost. Dr Delost, was friendly and thorough with my exam. He made sure I did not have any questions or concerns. If you are looking for a dermatologist, I highly recommend Dr. Delost.

I had my initial assessment aka skin check ...Support staff at the Independence office were professional and kind. Alyss Hauff CNP completed the assessment timely friendly and explained her POC and why.. Very pleased with my first experience.
