Dr. Oyler and her staff – from PAs to receptionists – are professional, proactive, friendly, and focused on providing the appropriate care and taking the time to listen and explain the issue, treatment options, and getting positive results. Dr. Oyler and Avery Settle, PA-C (the only PA I have seen to date), are always on point in their assessments and treatments, and if one treatment isn't working, they are on to the next option until its right. Their assistants are attentive and engaged and friendly, as well. They are also sensitive to the out-of-pocket costs and prescribe medications/topicals that work and are within budget. Kate Kabler, Medical Assistant and the insurance coordinator, goes the extra mile dealing with insurance obstacles and finding ways to get positive results for clients, no matter how long it takes, and communicates clearly and timely. I had been to two other dermatology practices since my longtime dermatologist retired and was disappointed in both. I find Dr. Oyler's practice to be above and beyond and consistent with the care of which I had been accustomed with my former dermatologist.

Avery Settle is amazing! I am not one to trust doctors and usually would not see a physician’s assistant but Avery is exceptional! I had a scary growth pop up on my face that needed attention so I had to make an appointment to get it checked out. Initially I called Capital Dermatology and requested to see the owner of the practice, Dr Oyler, but she was not taking new patients and my husband insisted I see someone so I made my appointment with Avery. When I came into the offices, the office staff was very friendly and welcoming. I was really nervous and they told me Avery was great, but I wasn’t sure what to expect. However, when I met her, she was absolutely amazing…she was kind, listened to my concerns, answered all of my questions and put my mind at ease. She looked at my growth and assured me it was nothing to worry about and that I could have it taken off if I desired but that it was not harmful in any way. She outlined all of my options and explained everything clearly and with kindness. I was so nervous I did not do any procedure that day but she gave me the courage and confidence I her to come back and have it taken off. During that next visit, she went slow, explained step-by-step what she was doing and what it would feel like. She even showed me the freezing tool and demonstrated the sound so it would not be scary. She also provided me options of how to remove or reduce the other blemishes/bumps that were bothering me on my face-if I choose to do that. She did not try to sell me any products or talk me into any procedures; she only answered my questions and concerns and did so thoroughly and completely. She was patient and understanding. She is a wonderful healthcare provider and I cannot recommend her more highly. Dr Oyler is extremely fortunate to have Avery on staff!

We have been trying to set up a referral from Capital Dermatology to an eye specialist for weeks now. Capital Dermatology, especially Heather, has been so kind, patient and helpful! I can’t thank you enough. The other office keeps telling us they haven’t received the referral though I am positive it has been sent at least 3 times. Despite having to ask for the same thing multiple times this office has been helpful and gone out of there way to be sure we get the referral done. Thank you!

Dr Oyler has always been kind in her manner and helpful in our discussions. She is an excellent dermatologist - and puts her patients first (she referred my wife to a different physician for a more complex treatment). Great team at Capital Dermatology.

Very thorough exam. Aaron found sun damage on my ears that had not been treated and removed what he called “pre-cancerous” growths. I will definitely be seeing him again.
