I booked a cosmetic procedure online but got a call less than 30 minutes before my appointment telling me the system should not have let me book it without a consultation. I was already en route so agreed to get a consultation with my appointment time. This was already frustrating. If it required a consultation, I certainly. could have been notified sooner than 30 minutes before my appointment. I made the appointment weeks ago. When I arrived, Dr Moraru made me feel even worse. He was condescending, make me feel awful for booking the appointment, and implied several times that it was my fault for using their online booking system. I really don’t get it-I’ve been going to Schweiger in multiple locations for at least ten years. I didn’t deserve the way I was treated (except for the lovely nurse, the only person who apologized for the situation).

Went for an appointment as a new patient this past week and everything went great. She answered all of my questions and even removed something off my body that Ive been self conscious about for awhile, all in the same visit along with my initial consultation/skin screening. She will absolutely be my physician moving forward! 10/10 - great service, great staff, no wait time, extremely professional and knowledgeable, great bed-side manner.

WARNING: This place is notorious for illegally double dipping! Please do not fall into this GREEDY trap. If you use another dermatologist “provider” within the SAME group/office that you did not see the first time, you will need to come in for another “consultation” so the new dermatologist “knows how to treat” the SAME issue the last dermatologist treated IN THE SAME OFFICE! Separately insurance “covers” a preventative skin screening (which took less than 3 minutes), but they will still charge you on top of that. They might have some talent there, but they are all part of one greedy SCAM! I hope that the state and federal regulators are already investigating.

I was able to get an appointment the same day. My provider was knowledgeable and professional. She diagnosed me correctly and prescribed correct treatment. I was very pleased with the outcome.

UPDATE: Their office contacted me and said that insurance companies only cover annual skin exams as preventative care when performed by primary care physicians. This is the first time I've experienced this and find it incredibly shady I was able to book a skin screening and have it performed in their office despite them stating it must be done by a PCP. ***** I really wanted to like this place especially since the provider was very kind but instead they have shady billing practices as outlined by other folks in their reviews. I went for annual skin screening and booked it as that thru their system, but nope! They want to bill my insurance differently to get more out the visit depute the visit being exactly what I asked - preventative skin cancer screening. Very disappointing.
