I had a really positive experience at University of Maryland Dermatology. When I arrived, it turned out I was at the wrong office and wouldn’t make it to my original appointment in time. Michele Malone at the front desk quickly stepped in to help. Instead of just redirecting me, she thoughtfully offered to have me seen at that location and got me scheduled for the next available appointment. Although it was a few hours later, she was very apologetic and continued to check for any cancellations to get me in sooner. I really appreciated how attentive and considerate she was throughout the process—even checking in with me visually to reassure me she hadn’t forgotten. While I did end up keeping the later appointment, her effort, professionalism, and kindness made a stressful situation much easier. Thank you for going the extra mile.

First visit to Dermatology today. Front desk staff Ms. Dearni & Ms. Jakierra were very pleasant and professional! Doctor or Nurse Practioner Simone K Bergman was a pleasure to speak with. I was happy with our discussion & recommendations. I didn't feel rushed and she allowed me to share and agree to the future plan of action. I will not be returning to this place. I was led to the examination room quickly enough, due to an empty waiting room. I gave a nurse my information and I was told to undress and wait, where I proceeded to sit alone for more than 40 minutes. When I decided I did not have enough time left in my day to sit around indefinitely to wait for someone to even stop by and say something to me, I got dressed and proceeded to leave. I interrupted the lively conversation that two employees were having nearby to tell them that I did not have all day and I had to leave. One of the employees told me they were my doctor and to please wait, she was "just on her way in." It sure didnt look like she was on her way in, it looked a lot more like plain old disrespect for my time. She hadnt even reviewed my file and proceeded to waste more of my time by asking me the same questions that I had already answered. Honestly the lack of urgency this office displayed on a weekday and the disrespect for my time was insulting and I think I would prefer melanoma to what this place passes off for medical care.

We have the best experience dealingwith Lynette when some unforeseen problems appeared during derm appt. She's very calm, collected, compassionate, good listener, empathetic, trouble shooting. What a blessing.

Darlene who answered my call truly helped me schedule my appointment that fit in my tricky schedule. She was very empathetic and kind during the telephone encounter!
