Antonio Espinoza 5 months agoI would highly recommend Dr. Ashton Youngers at Heartland Dermatology West location. She will treat you with the care you deserve and she is very knowledgeable, patient, kind, friendly, caring, compassionate and understanding. She listens to you and will give you the best treatment possible. The staff at the front desk is also very helpful and friendly. They also have people who speak Spanish for those who need it. I would absolutely recommend this place, more specifically, Dr. Youngers to any friends and family that may need any kind of skin care.
Boogers Opposum a month ago⭐ (1 star) — Concerning experience with diagnosis and treatment I scheduled my appointment expecting a thorough evaluation for a persistent, spreading foot and skin infection that had been present for years. Unfortunately, my experience left me with serious doubts about the care I received. A doctor clearly owes a patient a professional duty of care during an in-person visit, but I felt my concerns were dismissed rather than properly evaluated. Despite reporting a spreading rash, requesting diagnostic testing, and sharing my history of MRSA and fungal infections, I was given a diagnosis without confirmatory tests and instructed to use a potent steroid (clobetasol) with occlusion—something that is known to worsen fungal infections. When a healthcare provider breaches the standard of care by not performing indicated testing or by treating without confirmation, it can have real consequences. In my case, after following the treatment plan, my condition directly worsened—the rash spread from my feet to both ankles, a knee, both elbows, and my hands. This suggests a clear causal connection between the treatment approach and the deterioration of my health. The damages I’ve experienced include additional medical expenses for second opinions, ongoing pain, skin damage, and the emotional distress of dealing with a chronic condition that could have potentially been managed correctly from the start. I’m sharing this not to threaten anyone, but because other patients deserve to know what to expect. I hope this provider reflects on whether their diagnostic and treatment approach aligns with accepted medical standards for complex, chronic skin conditions.
Britt M a month agoVery underwhelmed. I have been seen twice at heartland dermatology and the first time was miss diagnosed. The second time was told to make another appointment. I have multiple issues with what was said and done during my second appointment and felt very unheard and pass along. I was not viewed as a patient with concerns merely as a box to check.
Martha Dostert a month agoDawn Schrandt found the basil cell skin cancer on the tip of my nose. Dr. Kevin Brough performed the MOHS Micrographic surgery. Numerous medical workers told me if they needed surgery on their nose, they would only trust Dr. Brough to do the surgery. They were 💯 percent correct. Dr. Brough cut off the top of my nose and stretched it to completely cover my nose. Most people are shocked when I tell them I had it done. Even though my mother and 6 siblings dealt with skin cancer, I have no anxiety because I have the best Doctors on my team!
Mike Marshall 4 months agoI had an appointment yesterday and now I see why you get such HIGH reviews. The staff was exceptional and the nurse was kind and funny. Dr. Shanna was the best! Keep up the Great Work. Would recommend 💯 PERCENT.👍 .
