I had such a great experience with Viviana! She made me feel super comfortable and really took the time to focus on my skincare needs and concerns. She explained everything so well, was very gentle and professional, and made the whole experience feel personalized. I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience with Dr. Tirgari. From the moment I walked in, I felt genuinely cared for, listened to, and understood. Dr. Tirgari has an incredible combination of medical expertise, artistic eye, and warmth that instantly puts you at ease. Every step of my treatment was explained thoroughly, with thoughtful recommendations tailored specifically to my skin and goals, never rushed, never generic. The results exceeded my expectations. I feel more confident in my skin which is what I had hoped for. I have been to Avalon Laser a few times, specifically their Carlsbad & San Diego offices. The offices are spotless and offer a modern & warm ambiance. The staff is professional, welcoming and accommodating. Each time I’ve called to change my treatment date, time or what I wanted to have done all together they (Jessica & Mallory who I’ve spoken with) have been able to accommodate. I initially went in to get a Vivace (microneedling RF) treatment done. My nurse, Raiza, went over my concerns and why I wanted to get Vivace done. She reviewed other treatments that may/may not be recommended for the concerns I have. I was very comfortable during my session and she made sure to voice whenever she thought the treatment might cause some stinging. She made sure all my questions and concerns were addressed and never pushy in offering any other treatments. I actually scheduled the appointment for a different treatment add on but backed out at the last minute and after talking with her and being educated as to why said treatment was not recommended I felt completely confident in my decision. She is extremely knowledgeable. Even though I live over an hour away I will continue to go to Avalon Laser for my beauty treatment needs because I trust them in their knowledge of services offered. I also love that they are open Saturdays as my work schedule can usually only accommodate some weekends. Of other places I’ve been to Avalon Laser is by far the best. With a wide range of treatments offered and staff who know what they’re doing I won’t go anywhere else!

On June 21, 2025, I visited Avalon Laser to treat a few facial spider veins after seeing the doctor’s work on social media. What I expected to be a routine cosmetic procedure unfortunately resulted in serious complications (see photos attached, with dates). Shortly after the treatment, leaky blisters formed, and about a week later they developed into scabs. When the scabs eventually came off, many areas appeared deeply indented and damaged. During virtual follow-up consultations, I was told the healing process appeared to be normal. However, my skin continued to worsen, and I later sought care at an ER, where the injuries were documented as burns and I was referred for dermatologic follow-up. Avalon Laser offered additional treatment options, including a CO2 laser session or microneedling. I did undergo one CO2 laser session with them, but ultimately decided not to continue treatment there because I no longer felt comfortable in the hands of a nurse instead of a doctor's. To their credit, the clinic checked in with me virtually on a regular basis and offered encouragement during the healing process. However, my recovery has been much longer and more challenging than I expected based on how my skin appeared. Nine months later, I have consulted with several specialists and undergone 7 procedures in an effort to improve my skin. The recovery process has been lengthy, painful, expensive and uncertain. The clinic refunded the cost of the original treatment, which I appreciated, but it has not come close to covering the many additional medical visits, treatments, medications, and skincare products I have needed since then. The emotional impact has also been very difficult. For weeks I struggled to sleep and often cried at night. I became withdrawn and stopped seeing friends because I felt embarrassed about my appearance. What began as a simple cosmetic procedure has turned into a long and ongoing nightmare. I attempted to pursue compensation through legal counsel and sent a demand letter, but I did not receive a response. I also followed up by email without success. I am sharing my personal experience so that others can be aware and carefully consider their options before undergoing treatment.
