My second visit to Helen Chodsky in 2 years. Check-in went smoothly, I was in an exam room within 10 minutes of arriving, Helen and assistant came in less than 10 mins later. She did my regular full-body melanoma scan/spot freezing, plus deeper exam on a fingernail, plus answering several questions. Helen and team were professional, caring, and gracious, my exam was done, followup scheduled, Rx called in, and I was out the door in less than 40 mins total.

I love being seen with Golden State Dermatology. They help me to keep track of a family history of skin cancer. And they have helped me with their recommendations. They recommended Dove Sensitive bar soap. And ever since I've used this bar soap my hands don't crack and hurt in the winter. And they recommended CeraVe shampoo and Conditioner. And I never knew there was a revitalization and rejuvenation hair products available. This hair product is amazing, and priced real well. And I am grateful for their kindness and welcoming environment of their Office in Berkeley. I couldn't have asked for anything more or better. I highly recommend Golden State Dermatology to everyone. Avoid! I've been contacting them for 7 weeks to refill a prescription and they keep saying my healthcare provider is out until Tuesday. Same reply over and over. No empathy. Just maddening. I've been a patient here for over 5 years and none of the doctors stay longer than a year. My husband has been waiting over a month to refill a routine prescription and they keep ignoring his requests. You've lost two long term clients.

I was able to get an appointment relatively quickly given concerns about a few new spots on my face. The doctor and her staff were very friendly, professional, and thorough completing a full exam in addition to freezing the relevant spots. Highly recommend.
