Dr. Fazel, Nina (Medical Assistant) and the front desk staff provided great customer service. My case was exceptionally difficult as there were three growths, one being a pre-diagnosed melanoma which had grown. It was a good experience as I was kept informed of what was happening; everyone was competent and knowledgeable. Though the experience was painful, the best possible measures were taken to minimize the discomfort. The location was somewhat difficult to find; if you are a first timer, go earlier and be prepared to drive by it a few times! Note the picture in this review as well as others...finding the location will be easier.

Dr. Jedlowski is unimaginably compassionate. As someone who visits doctors nearly daily due to complex chronic illness and disability... I hardly ever get listened to, helped, and understood to even a fraction of what Dr. Jedlowski offers. If I was facing a serious dermatological issue, I'd be proud to have such an educated person as my physician. And when I say "Compassionate" I mean definitionally the strong desire when seeing someone suffering to do anything in your power to stop it. It goes beyond sympathy or empathy, its the action to resolution and we cant get enough of real compassion in the medical world!! I felt like my autonomy was respected without me even needing to heavily advocate, fight, or use legality. Being treated like a person was a nice change to average Tucson medical care. Plus, no "Informed Trauma Consent" here guys! Just honesty about procedures and real genuine attempts at making the patient as comfortable as humanly possible no matter what (We love this!). Not once was I manipulated into "trauma consent". Unfortunately this is a rare experience as woman with health issues in this god aweful medical system. When a doctor can humanize a patient like Dr. Jedlowski does, the outcome of care is always better. They had alternative anesthetics, an impressive show of their higher level of understanding in human physiology. The skill to do as little trauma to the skin as possible WOWed me. Painless and while being respected as a person by my highly educated physician. I literally could not ask for anything more! This provider is honestly too good for Banner, the upper management better be damn grateful for this rare example of a real doctor. Truly deserving of their position, which they've clearly worked hard for and continue to pour passion and effort into maintaining. I cant fathom how many lives Dr. Jedlowski has likely saved purely by being the knowledgable and compassionate doctor that they are.

Had to schedule a year in advance just to be seen and when I was about a month from my appointment I was rescheduled 6 more months out. I had told them to please schedule me with a female provider (should not need to be explained but had to be due to the attitude upon request) and instead of being understanding and scheduling me with a female provider as requested they scheduled me with a male and scheduled me with a male surgeon. I was very pissed about the constant rescheduling, attitude I recieved about my request and about being scheduled with a male to look at a sensitive area i was uncomfortable with. I would never recommend this location.

The team at Banner dermatology was great to work with. However, the dermatologist does not use a dermascope when looking at the skin. I came in for an initial skin check earlier this year, he looked me over and said my skin looked great and I didn’t need to come back for five years. Five years felt a little long so I decided to get a second opinion with a physician that uses a dermascope. That appointment found a concerning mole on my ear that got biopsied and is now getting tested for melanoma. Hard to say what this mole would look like in five years if I followed the Banner physicians recommendation. All that to say, do your research for what type of dermatologist/technology works best for you and the skin you have! Seems like the technology at Banner is a bit behind, unfortunately.

Dr. Butler and his Resident are extremely kind, welcoming, and straightforward. I enjoyed how they had taken the time to explain possible causes of my concern and the various treatment options. I was in the driver seat of this appointment and was able to decide how to be cared for and wasn't persuaded in any direction. I appreciate that I was able to pick up my medication the same day of my visit. I am looking forward to our follow-up visit.
